Travel to Thoppigala Mountain .

 

                                                                                          Thoppigala is a  mountain in Sri Lanka ,it's also called as ,in   British  collanial as Barab's cap and in Tamil as  Kudumbimalai.     It's situated nearly 40 km away from Batticaloa ,amidst a thick jungle,also it's near to Pollonnaruwa  District ,however  it's situated in Eastern Province .                                                                                                                   The special thing is Thoppigala was under the control of the LTTE.Indian Peace keeping Force was active in the country during  the period of 1987-1990,they had carried  to  opperations in the  Thoppigala  area to find LTTE  cadres hiding there.

The rock is surrounded by thick jungle ,rocky terrain  and has a number of natural caves.     It's beautiful and amazing place to visit .
